Come to the Main Stage sponsored by the Slocan Lake Arts Council for excellent musical entertainment. Combining regional and international talent, two or three groups alternate sets throughout the day. Picnic tables and benches provide ample space to sit and enjoy the music, and there is room for dancing.
At 3:15, the raffle ticket draw takes place and contest winners are announced.
This year on the Slocan Lake Arts Council Main Stage we are delighted to the energizing music of Snakes and Horses (11:00 am and 1:30 pm) and TruckVanCar (12:15 pm and 2:45 pm).
Snakes and Horses are a middle-age mom band originating from the Slocan Valley. Once a week for many years they would escape their families to sing and play together. During that time they developed a large repertoire of favourite songs that includes cover songs from the sixties through the decades, giving these songs a unique twist with intricate harmonies and complimentary vocals, creating a musical experience that captivates and enchants.
Truckvancar is a soul-stirring fusion of reggae, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll, born in the heart of a small mountain ski town. With roots as deep as the pines and grooves as fresh as a snowfall, this five-piece band blends laid-back island rhythms with raw, mountain-town grit. Their sound is equal parts sunset jam and backcountry bonfire — heartfelt, high-energy, and undeniably human. Whether you’re dancing barefoot in the grass or cruising mountain roads, Truckvancar delivers the kind of music that makes you feel at home wherever you are.
Flydini the Magician delights the young and the young at heart, performing 2 shows during the Festival day at 11:30 am and 1:45 pm.
Come and participate in scintillating drumming with Rhythm by Nature at 10:15 am and 12:45 pm. Drums are provided; no experience necessary.
